Corvallis adopts ranked choice voting for upcoming general election

The City of Corvallis has announced the implementation of a ranked choice voting system for the municipal Nov. 8 general election. The ranked choice voting system was passed under 2016’s measure 2-100...

For the first time in Benton County history the ballot will have rank choice voting. Voters will be able to rank the candidate they favor most as their first choice, but in case that candidate doesnt have enough popular support to win, voters can add a back up choice.
