Ice might be making its return to Corvallis on Feb. 13. According to the National Weather Service, the winter storm warning will be starting with snow and freezing temperatures Wednesday night.
According to the National Weather Service, the highest during the day will only be in the mid 30’s, which is not a lot of time for ice to melt throughout the day.
We are going into Wednesday night with a 30 percent chance of snow after 4 a.m. with a low of 24 degrees. The National Weather Service says to expect less than half an inch of snow on the ground in the morning.
On Thursday, there is a 70 percent chance of precipitation in the form of snow and sleet before 10am and hitting a high of 37 degrees in the afternoon. Another possible inch of snow is expected by the NWS to hit the ground until 1 p.m. Finishing off the week with a 70 percent chance of freezing rain and low of 28 degrees at night.
According to the Department of Transportation, watch out for poor driving conditions and check with professors for class cancellations especially in the morning hours of the day.
