Student government has rescheduled its meeting to discuss election validity and campaign violations.
The meeting will be open to the public and will take place on April 22, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the Memorial Union, room 109.
The Associated Students of Oregon State University Elections Committee meeting was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 16, from noon to 1 p.m. However, due to a national Zoom outage, the committee was unable to adhere to Oregon Public Meeting law.
Connor Chen, the Election Committee Chair, alongside the other committee members, announced that they would wait till 12:30 p.m. with the hope that Zoom would start up again.
“At 11:45 Zoom went dark, and in order to hold this meeting, we need to have the Zoom link that we sent out 48 hours in advance to be working in order to hold this meeting. Trust me, I really don’t want to waste your guys’ time,” Chen said.
The Barometer will be attending this meeting and will follow up with more updates as to what the outcome will be.
