The loss of an Oregon State University student has been confirmed by Rob Odom, vice president of University Relations and Marketing.
In an email to The Barometer, Odom confirmed that a student at OSU died on the evening of May 8.
“OSU is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a student’s life,” Odom said. “We offer our deepest condolences to the student’s family, friends and loved ones.”
OSU’s Counseling and Psychological Services are being extended to any student and staff impacted by “this unfortunate tragedy,” Odom said.
