Oregon State University estimates that it will confer 8,180 degrees in 2025, an increase of nearly 400, or 5.03%, from 2024. Among this year’s 7,934 graduates, the youngest is just 18 years old, while the oldest is an inspiring 77.
The median OSU graduate is 22 years old in 2025.
Engineering is projected to lead all colleges with 5,999 undergraduate degrees, followed by Liberal Arts (1,268) and Science (701). First-generation students make up about 16% of all graduates with 1,254. Among graduate students, 1,144 students will receive master’s degrees and 415 students will receive doctoral degrees.
The class of 2025 also includes 111 undergraduate Research and Arts Fellows and 254 Honors College undergraduates. Among those graduating with honors, 965 earned cum laude, 769 magna cum laude, and 1,159 summa cum laude.
Students from all 50 states and 69 countries are represented, along with 12 U.S. territories or commonwealths. Students who identify as non-residents make up 3,653, or 46%, of graduates, and 623 (8%) as international, highlighting the university’s global reach.
A total of 4,050 students are expected to walk at commencement, which will take place in Corvallis in June.
