In celebration of Independence Day, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Red, White & Blue Riverfront Festival will take place along First Street, filling downtown Corvallis with music and activities.
The event is free to everyone and open to people of all ages, and according to Cloud Davidson, the festival’s organizer, there will be “food carts, a beer garden, arts and crafts booths. etc!”
The festival will also feature live music from noon to 10 p.m.
The festival’s headliner will be Bon Bon Vivant, “an amazing band from NOLA (New Orleans),” wrote Davidson in an email. “The second to last band is a great regional group called Hillstomp. They are so much fun.”
Hillstomp is set to perform at 6 p.m. and Bon Bon Vivant at 8 p.m., according to the festival’s website. There will also be musical performances from bands Titans of Industry, Ludicrous Speed and Tequila Daydream.
According to Davidson, the fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m. and is put on by the Corvallis United States Junior Chamber, called the Jaycees.
“For the fireworks, the 4th of July riverfront fest helped fundraise for an increased budget for the fireworks to try and help the Jaycees out,” Davidson said. “We were able to provide an additional 50% budget for them.”
