The Corvallis Celtic Festival will feature music, dancing and cultural celebrations across town from July 24 to 27.
This four day festival celebrates the traditions of Ireland, Scotland and Wales with both free and ticketed events at various locations.
Thursday, July 24
Festivities will be held at Common Fields in downtown Corvallis. There will be dancing and music from 6-9:30 p.m. Admission is free for everyone.
Friday, July 25
PRAx will host headliner band Open the Door for Three in Detrick Hall from 7-9 p.m. Open the Door for Three is an Irish trio with a fiddler, a piper and a singer, according to PRAx’s website.
Catch local musicians Dave and Sharon Thormahlen at 6 p.m. for a pre-concert happy hour.
Ticket prices for the general public range between $25 and $32. Tickets for students and youth 18 and under are $5. Tickets are sold on the PRAx website.
Saturday, July 26
Four locations will be hosting celebrations all day.
Workshops will be held at the Corvallis-Benton County Library from 9-11 a.m. in the Main Meeting Room and Upstairs Classroom.
The Dragon’s Whistle art gallery on SW Madison will hold workshops from 10-11 a.m. Admission to all workshops is free for everyone.
Tyee Wine Cellars on Greenberry Road will have several performances, craft vendors and children’s activities throughout the day. Gates will be open 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The cost of admission is $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the festival. Tickets for the Tyee Wine Cellars event can be purchased here.
In the evening, Brass Monkey gastropub will host an after hours jam session from 9:30-11:30 p.m. which is free for everyone.
Sunday, July 27
The last day of the Celtic festival will be held in multiple locations as well.
The Old World Deli will host music performances from 9:30 a.m. to noon and an open jam session from 2-4 p.m.
Common Fields will also have performances, dancing and a “No Host Slow Tune Session.” These events will occur from 12:15-6 p.m.
Both locations will have free admission for all.
The festival welcomes families and people with disabilities. All venues will have wheelchair access and paved paths so everyone can join in. There is free parking in public lots downtown and portable restrooms will be available at festival sites. Safety services like first aid stations will also be available for visitors.
