Małgorzata Peszyńska, a professor and researcher in the Department of Mathematics, was honored as an Oregon State University Distinguished Professor in 2024. Peszyńska’s research took mathematics into interdisciplinary uses across hydrology, oceanography, material science and other areas through her projects at OSU.
