The Rock Band Showcase at the Old World Deli brings together many walks of people to create a fun, engaging event full of laughter and applause.
Oregon State University offers a unique experience with its class, “Secondary General Music Foundations,” taught by Dr. Chris Bulgren.
In this class, students who aspire to become music teachers, are forced to not only play an instrument they are unfamiliar with, but perform in a band with other students at the end of the term in front of a sizable audience.
This class gifts students a perspective on what it would be like to be a kid picking up an instrument for the first time and not knowing where to begin.
This showcase not only teaches students valuable lessons but highlights one of the many quirks of Corvallis.
