Benton County Natural Areas & Parks is wrapping up their second annual park survey, but there is still time for more community input.

Every year Benton County Natural Areas & Parks chooses four priority parks. This year’s parks are Fitton Green Natural Area, Fort Hoskins Historic County Park, Bellfountain County Park and Irish Bend County Park. The survey gives community members the chance to answer a series of online questions about their park experiences. This year, Benton County Natural Areas & Parks has added in a non-user side of the survey in addition to the user-focused survey format that was used last year in effort to branch out to multiple values among the community. Car counters have also been set up at each of the four priority parks to supplement the data collected from the survey.

The Oregon State University community is welcome to participate in the survey and share their experiences about Benton County’s recreational opportunities. The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ssyl5zp. The survey closes at the end of August. Survey participants will be able to choose whether or not to enter a drawing to stay in the Alsea Guard Station Cabin on the Alsea River.
