Out with the spots, in with the rooms.
On June 4, some students received an email from Oregon State University Transportation Services announcing that three B2 permit lots will be permanently closed effective June 22.
According to the email, these closures are making way for a new residence hall that will be built just south of Bloss Hall. Construction will begin later this month.
“This project will require permanent closure of the parking lots located behind The LaSells Stewart Center, CH2M Hill Alumni Center and Bloss Hall (B2 lots),” the email said.
Additionally, SW Stadium Avenue roadway and sidewalks connecting SW Western Boulevard to Bloss Hall will also be closed for the duration of construction, with the exception of sports game days and planned campus events such as career fairs.
Construction is expected to be completed in September 2028. B2 parking permit holders can refer to the B2 parking map for information on other parking areas.
